What is a cancer test?

(October 11, 2011)

Certain kinds of cancer can be detected before the symptoms are manifested. Cancer tests are methods used to check for cancer or for conditions that can result in cancer in individuals who do not exhibit any symptoms. Owing to the fact that prevention is one of the most effective tools in fighting cancer, it is essential that there is the detection of cancer as soon as possible before it spreads. There are many prevention and detection cancer tests that can be used for the detection of cancer. Some of the tests described below are considered to be an alternative or not as harmful as the standard and conventional tests. It is important for one to understand not to depend on any single test. This is because some of the cancer test results can be negatives or false positives. Therefore, all clinical factors should be taken into consideration for the diagnosis to be backed up.

AMS, which is anti-malignin antibody screen test, is made to detect cancers much before the other symptoms and signs come on, months before it can be detected with conventional medical tests. However, the test will not be effective for a cancer that is in the advanced stage, if the anti-malignin antibody is gone. Therefore, other kinds of testing are needed for this. Biological terraine assessment (BTA), is a device in which your urine, saliva, and blood is measured for the number of electrons present, the minerals present in the fluid, and the pH balance. It will give you the state of your cells health. It will show whether the environment of the cells is too acidic, if the amount of electrons to fight the free radicals are too few, or if the minerals are too few for the acids to be buffered.

Cancer marker tests are methods that are immunological. Cancer markers are formed as there is the growth of the cancer, and it can be detected before it comes to a size that is big enough to be detected by other methods. This system for early detection is essential for medical intervention that comes in early so that the chances of recovery are significantly improved.

Cancer Tests for Men and Women

There are many cancer test kits available with which you can take into account your body chemistry, cancer stage, and type. There are different screening tests men should routinely undergo for the early detection of cancer, which, in turn, can help promote better treatment and prevention. Some of the cancer tests for men to take routinely are Prostrate-Specific Antigen test (PSA), Digital Rectal Examination (DRE), Colonoscopy, and Fecal Occult Blood Test. Some of the cancer tests for women are Pap smear for cervical cancer, pelvic exam for gynecologic cancers, mammograms for breast cancer, and colonoscopy for colon cancer.
