Glucose is a fuel used for the generation of energy in the human body. As we know, energy is required for every single function of the human body. Energy is required for many functions that we do not even realize are taking place in the body. Under normal conditions, glucose mixes with oxygen and other chemicals during a process known as metabolism. This process results in the production of energy and in the production of heat. Both energy and heat are used in the body for various different functions. Glucose is the main source of energy in the human body. Glucose is absorbed into the bloodstream whenever the consumption of carbohydrates takes place. Also see iron levels in blood normal range

There are two conditions that can be classified as glucose levels symptoms. Hyperglycemia is a condition where the quantity of glucose in the blood is excessively high. In this condition, the patient may feel continuously thirsty and may feel a lack of energy in the body, particularly if the condition occurs due to diabetes. The other condition classified under glucose levels symptoms is known as hypoglycemia.

This is a condition where the blood sugar level is lower than normal. In this condition, the patient will also feel tired and listless. However, hyperglycemia may be fatal if the amount of glucose falls too low. This is because the body will simply not have enough energy to keep its systems going.

Glucose level blood tests measure the amount of glucose in the blood.

Glucose levels blood tests are conducted in the same way as a normal blood assessment. Blood is collected from the patient's body and then transferred to a laboratory where it is analyzed for its various components. Like with most other blood tests, the glucose levels blood tests do not occur in isolation. In most cases, the glucose levels blood tests are a part of a series of tests that are conducted to check the condition of the blood in the individual's body. It is also necessary that the glucose levels blood test results be checked by the doctor before you begin any medication

The glucose levels diagnosis is very important because both glucose related problems, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, can cause serious health issues. While low glucose levels can result in the eventual demise of the individual, chronically high levels of blood glucose can cause permanent damage to the kidneys, the liver, the eyes and even the heart and the brain. For this reason, it is important that the blood glucose levels are checked regularly, particularly amongst individuals who have a known problem with glucose level management in their systems.
