Genetic testing helps identify any changes that take place in chromosomes, proteins, and genes. If one is able to detect the tumor in the early stages, then the chances of survival are much higher. Thus, early screening can prevent cancer related deaths from occurring.

Testing may also bring about some changes in your lifestyle. You start becoming health conscious and will start focusing on a diet that is high in fiber and low in fat. You would also be able to modify your lifestyle to deal with any identified medical conditions.
